Rental Conditions
Red Ribbon Rentals Tasmania has a minimum rental age of 21 years for all vehicles
All Red Ribbon Rentals Tasmania renters must provide a valid Drivers Licence which has been held for a minimum of 12 months.
International licences that are not in English must be accompanied by a current International Driver Permit
Payment
An initial, non refundable deposit will be secured at the time of booking confirmation. Accepted credit cards are Visa or MasterCard (a transaction fee of 1.75% applies).
The balance is payable directly to the supplier on arrival. Red Ribbon Rentals Tasmania will accept Visa or Mastercard.
Insurance Conditions
Vehicles are insured subject to the terms of the agreement and are subject to the following excesses.
Cars
Drivers over 25 years of age, an excess of $750.00 applies.
This amount can be reduced to $200.00 by paying an additional $15.00 per day.
Drivers over 21 years but under 25 years, an excess of $2000.00 applies.
This can be reduced to $1500.00 by paying an additional $15.00 per day.
An additional excess of $750.00 for drivers over 25 years, or $2000.00 for drivers over 21 but under 25 years, applies for damage sustained as a result of driving on unsealed roads, or in the event of a single vehicle accident.
Security Bond
A security bond of $300.00 is required upon hiring of vehicle (refundable). This is to ensure the vehicle is returned in good, clean condition (windscreen, tyres, etc) and with a full tank of fuel.

24 Hour Roadside Assistance
In the unlikely event that your Red Ribbon vehicle breaks down we are committed to you and therefore spare no effort to get you back on the road again as quickly and as pain free as possible.
Street Directories
Red Ribbon can provide at request local city maps and street directories to ensure you safely navigate your way around Tasmania. If you plan to see the sights and experience all that Tasmania has to offer then you can purchase a state map from Red Ribbon's rental counter.
Free Pick up/Delivery in Hobart City
Red Ribbon offers a free delivery/pick up service to customers with hotel/motel accommodation or to a local business address within Hobart City.
Unlimited Kilometres
Red Ribbon don't believe in penalising you for kilometres travelled therefore you have unlimited kilometres to ensure you get to see and do as much as you are able in your stay in Tasmania.
Cancellations
The initial deposit paid is non-refundable. In addition to forfeiting your deposit, the following charges also apply:
No further charge if cancelled 6 days prior to pick up
50% if cancelled 5 days prior to pick up
100% if cancelled 4 days prior to pick up or no show.

Once you dock please ring our freephone number and we will dispatch our staff to pick you up. This will take between 5 and 10 minutes. You will then be shuttled to our depot situated close by the airport to complete paperwork and pick up your vehicle.

Devonport Airport Pick Ups
On arrival at Devonport Airport, once you have collected your luggage, please phone us free on the number provided on confirmation. We will then meet you with your vehicle and explain to you the drop off procedure. Airport vehicle delivery generally operates within normal business hours but at the supplier's discretion we will meet flights / customers outside of normal business hours. If however your flight arrives very late in the evening we may advise you to stay in local accommodation overnight and bring your vehicle to your hotel the following morning. These details will be confirmed with you upon final booking confirmation.

Hobart City Pick Ups
The supplier offers a free delivery/pick up service to customers with hotel/motel accommodation or to a local business address within Hobart City. Or you can make your own way to our depot.
Hobart Airport Pick Ups
On arrival at Hobart airport make your way to office that is located at the entrance to the car rental general office area ( Qantas/Jetstar end ) if this is within office hours. For after hours collection please call the supplier, or turn on your mobile phones when in the terminal as the supplier will be ringing you to make contact and get you on your holiday.
Generally the last flight into Hobart is in at around 9.30pm and if this is delayed significantly we may suggest you stay at the airport hotel and the supplier will meet you the Airport hotel is 1.5 kilometres from the airport and offer a shuttle service.
Please note that airport concession fees apply for bookings less than three days in duration (AUD30.00 when collecting or returning vehicles from/to Hobart Airport, and AUD45.00 when collecting and returning vehicles at Hobart Airport.

Red Ribbon Car Hire Tasmania will meet you at the Airport Hotel early the next morning.
